Explorer 2 finds Gold Rings .

These were found on a ball park using the detech excellerator 8 inch concentric coil. The larger ring was at about 3 inches and read F10 C 5 numbers varying slightly, number lock on was not too good because the ring is broken the numbers don't seem to lock on but these numbers kept showing after multiple sweeps the audio was a broken sound. The smaller ring gave more consistent numbers of F11 C4 with better target lock on. A Square tabs which which i found earlier on the site gave F9 C9 . .

I can post my gold ring program if any one want's to try my settings.

Good luck with your hunting from Doctor Coinz.................

yes, i would like to see the gold settings!

Really nice finds, Coinz!! :clapping:

We don't really see too many guys looking for gold, especially in a park, with their Explorers. In the parks that I hunt, there's just way too many pieces of shredded aluminum, chopped up pull-tabs, ring tabs, etc., which give the exact same readings as gold rings do....it's really futile. Maybe in a less trashy park, and a park where the lawnmowers don't chop the heck out of the aluminum trash.....it's possible.

Congrats,

:detecting:Nice rings The gold rings I found in Texas last winter came up like a nickel on smartfield, Switched to #s came up 10 - 5 except for a heavy 14k mens ring. It rang up at 7- 20, The silver rings came up at 0 - 28. GL & HH

These are the settings i used to find the gold rings. A low sensisitivity of 18 is my own personal preference on trashy sites where most gold rings live.
Too much sensitivity is to be avoided on trashy sites if you want the gold rings. This program was matched to the detech excellerator 8 inch concentric coil which i prefer on sites with foil and tabs and other bits of junk.
Search Screen = Digital (Large numbers for easy id)
Reject = Nails x.
Volume = 10.
Gain = 8.
Threshold Tone = 10
Variability 10.
Limits =10
Sounds = Constant
Response - Audio 1.
Recovery - Fast off.
Recovery = Deep on.
Iron Mask 12.
Threshold = 8.
Noise Cancel = yes.
Sensitivity = Manual 18.

Gold Ring hunting tips = Always Use an 8 inch coil on trashy sites, i find that mostly concentric coils do better on gold rings on trashy locations.
Broken Rings read with broken audio and sound bad . You must dig some trash to get gold.The use of constant sounds means you will be forced to look at the meter and get to know what is a tab and what is most likely not a tab.This takes practice. Digital is doing much better for me , avoid the cross hairs on ring hunting sessions. The cross hairs have there place but not when ring hunting.

Thanks eddie. The thing with finding rings is you just never know when yhe next on will come. Could be 2 weeks could be 2 years..::)
