Explorer 2 parkland silver from worked out uk park.

I found these silver coins on a worked out victorian park after only 8 hours of detecting with my explorer 2. 50 copper coins were also found down to depths of around 8-10 inches.
The oldest coin is a george the 3 rd silver sixpence 1816. The silver pendant is dated 1901. :super:

That sounds interesting.:jump: Most of the good signals have now gone on my park so i am now going for the real hard to get deep coins and coins close to trash targets. Anyone got any tips for this kind of hunting?. The parks over here (uk) used to be loaded with thousands of coins but it looks like many parks over here how now pounded out almost.
Years ago i could pull say 30 coins an hour off an average parkland site with an all metal non discrimination machine - Coins actually out numbered the trash targets. Today the situation is reversed as we all know there is much more trash targets than good targets. I Am now looking towards elliptical coils to see what can be got that has been missed with the other coils.

Once i am happy i have cleared all the silver out of a park then i will program my explorer with the andy sabisch base gold program and spend a few months digging all the trash (enough to fill a mini skip) and maybe a couple of rings will be found (if i am lucky).

Detecting at its best. Wish I could find stuff that old for coins. Nice finds and keep em' comin'.

I have been back and worked the area where i got the silver coins from a few times but have had no luck. Looks like i have cleared the area out. ;)
