explorer 2 software question

does the explorer 2 have a first and second generation software or is it that the xs was first generation software and explorer 2 has second generation software. thanks
 
When they refer to the "2nd generation software" they're talking about the Explorer II. The Explorer XS having been the first.
 
Hi Mike,
If you really want to get technical the Explorer 2 is 3rd Generation Software as there are two versions of the Explorer XS out there. The first one says Dec 1999 when you start it up and the second one says Sept 2000 when you start it up.

EX II. I just bought my II that came from Minelab packaged as new Standard package, supposedly this
is a "hotter" Explorer. No other packages are being offered. Detector, alkaline battery pack, rechargeables, 110 charger, and Koss headphones. Richardntn
