i was looking for some solid setups for my explorer 2 to use near old foudations. its seems like ther are a lot of nails.i going to print out your advise a make a little book to bring with me and test out if the snow ever stops!

I really believe higher mask settings and Fast on would help in your situation. As far as specific settings thats up to you and -16 iron mask is quite noisy..Might also look into a smaller acc. coil to pick between the nails...It appears you are in an isolated area and would bring some good digging tools and do a lot of digging especially if your signal can be picked up from two directions and remember lots of nails can sure make your meter be less than accurate..so it pays to investigate..

thanks, iwas trying the 5inch excelerator coil it came with, seems a little easier to pinpoint but i never find coins, seems like there should be some there, but im new at it and probbly going right over them.
