Explorer and gold

Im curious about the Explorer and raw gold. Gus at Doc's detectors in Vegas said the SE did a good job finding raw gold. Also, my DFX does an excellent job on chains and small jewery on the beach... i was told the SE misses those smaller targets. Id like to get the SE but it has to do well with these targets.

Let me direct you to the X-Terra 70 forum.Scroll up click on the index and go to the XT forum.
I've owned the X-Terra 70 and liked it a lot. Also good on Gold. Priced at about $700.

I don't hunt gold with mine but do find plenty of good finds with it. The 70 has a high frequency coil available made especially for low conductive targets like gold.

I have a versitial detector in the DFX, but im interested in the Explorer NOT the Xterra. Id likely buy the Eureka before the xterra. Im trying to see how versital the Explorer will be for me. I travel full time and want a detector that will met my needs.
