Explorer finds Gold !!!:surprised:

Holy crap !! I decided to use part of my lunchbreak to poke around behind the apartments I take care of. As I may have mentioned, the land was homesteaded in 1900 and I was basically where the front yard would have been. Got a signal that was most likely some sort of foil, as it was bottomed-out center on the smartscreen. And I almost passed it up, but decided to remove the offending trash for future digs. Sure glad I did !! Once I removed the plug I had to let it sit in the sun for a bit because it was literally frozen stuck. Another inch or more deeper is frozen solid ! Not sure what kind of stones are set in it, but my wife is going to flip. Who says the Explorer is'nt good for gold? And this is my first significant find for the year....have'nt even found a penny with this thing yet !!

You're off to one heck of a start :yo: Congrats on the gold.

Looks like it paid off for you:thumbup:

Isn't this hobby wonderful? One of those special memories you will never forget.

Congrats my friend:cheers:

Very nice find and a great way to start the season. I wonder what the type of stones those are and the age of that pendant. Very cool! HH

Awesome !

Les.

You may be on to something there...lol.

I was'nt even planning on taking any pictures today. But I ran home and grabbed it while the perma-frost plug was thawing out.

That is just super Dave.:clapping: Congrats on the nice gold find and I agree that the Minelabs are good gold finders if you want to dig the low tones. I have done my share of digging them and have been rewarded quite well over the years. Glad you made it out and did some digging even if the ground was frozen. GL & HH when you get out again buddy.
