explorer II and the SE pro

I didn't but a buddy sold his Explorer-II and got the SE - says it really wasn't worth it to him. I thought about it but kept my Explorer-II instead.

... instead of upgrading. I have yet to find enough to pay my Explorer off let alone upgrading to a newer detector at this time. If you haven't tried an SEF coil, you might want to think about it.

I've been using an Explorer 2 for about 2 yrs. now and I love it !! I wasn't looking to get an SE but I got one in trade for another detector I was selling . I've had it a few months now . It pinpoints better , the tones seem just a little sharper and I like the color better but so far I don't see any difference in the depth or the amount of stuff I'm finding . When I go out , I'll just grab the one that has the particular size coil on it that I feel like using that day .They are both great machines .When I use a larger coil I use the
stock 10.5 EX 2 coil on both of them as it slides easier for me . I prefer using either the SunRay X-8 or the stock Minelab small coil
due to their lighter weight . If they ever make that Minelab Pro coil in an 8 *' I will get one .

George
