Explorer near power lines

Bob Szabo

New member
I was out with my Explorer today and was hunting right under power lines. The big towers where you can actually here the lines buzzing overhead.

What really suprised me is I had NO noise at all. None. Power was at about 26 and the detector was working very smoothly.

Didnt find a great deal, a couple Gardner bullets and a round ball. Got to be a buton there somewhere, Ill keep looking.

Sounds like you got lucky with those power lines. Most of the time they raise havock with these detectors. I have come into contact with 2 or 3 power lines myself that did not bother my machine. I just wish I new the reason for this. HH
