Explorer or Sov GT,which is deeper?

I would like to know from any users who have used both the GT and the Explorer 2 or SE which they consider better,I have read posts from some extremely experienced users who prefer the GT over the Explorer as the signals are clearer,is the Explorer deeper than the GT and how do they compare on making small finds?

You'll find that both are incredible in depth and both need lots of experience (reading this forum) to harness their entire capabilities.

I use both. The GT in Beach Hunting and the SE for Relic & Beach. I believe the SE to be more sensitive to small items though my experience. I've used the GT on the beach and went back over the same area with the SE and found small gold on numerous occasions.

My preference is the GT because the sound based discrimination is incredible and then add in the "Rick(ND)" wiggle for depth. However, if it is a hunted out area, I like the SE.
