the explorerII but will be ready to buy again when Minelab comes out with a hip mount or finds a way to make it lighter. Any word on that??

There was a very minor reduction in swing weight with the SE coil. About 2-3 oz over the previous EX-II. We used to sell the Birch hip mount kit for the Explorer but they are out of business. I'd love to see the Explorer evolve into the Xterra housing and weigh about 2.5 lbs, but I'm dreaming

It can totally be done. Andy S. and others have been asking for this for a long time. It can be done! They would sell a bunch!
