explorer SE pro mineralized soil

outdoors

New member
thinking about buying the explorer se pro, how does the explorer pro handle highly mineralize soil, and is the depth good in all
different soils

Ive hunted all over the US. There isnt a machine that is perfect for all soils, but the Explorers come darn close. With the Pro coil you wont have any problem with depth. You may have to adjust your settings... sometimes too much sensitivity or gain isnt the best and sometimes Ferr might be better than Cond sounds. You can make this detector work anywhere. I live in Indiana, but am currently hunting a Florida beach. The only setting i did was crank up the sensitivity a little. I can get 14 inches on the beach if im not taking the detector for a walk and slow down a bit. There may be places its not the best detector to use... but its a darn close second and you wont be missing much. If you travel a lot its a good choice. As for your area, ask some of the local hunters or just see what they are using.... there might be a reason.
