Can the users tell me if the pro coil is any better then the stock coil on the SE. What are the pros and cons of each coil? Is the Pro coil a little more hotter or sensitive then the stock coil? The last two weeks I found a SLQ at 13" and a Merc at 9 to 10". I have as of yet not found anything deep with the PRO coil. The PRO coil seems to be a lot more noisier the to stock coil.

Explorer SE stock coil VS the pro coil

This reply is from my own personal experience with each of the mentioned coils Stock 10" slimline. Very noisey to much falsing on iron.
The 11" pro coil is by far the better choice even tho it also will give ghost signals at times. Better balance and lighter weight.
I will have to say that both of the coils have very good depth with the edge going to the pro coil.
Having said this, I hunt with a fellow digger who uses the xs w/10.5 xsII coil and I have yet to hit a target that he could not hear, even in the 10 to 11" range his xs will hear the same signal.
The only draw back for the 10.5 xsII coil is the weight and the way it is mounted farther back towards the heel of the coil causing a slight balance issue. This just MHO.

...but I bet if we did a poll on here...that 9 out of 10 users with experience on both coils would say they thought the pro coil was a definite improvement over the slimline SE coil.
To be completely honest...my experience with both coils is that the pro coil doesn't give me a whole lot of difference in depth over the stock slimline coil.
I do feel the pro coil separates better...but the slimline coil is very deep...just like you stated. I just can't use it because it falses and chirps way too much for my hunting style...regardless of what sensitivity I run..
My problem with the pro coil is that I dig too many "phantom" holes with it...and that annoys the snot out of me

I would suggest that you stick with what is working for you. If you are digging coins from 13"...you are light years ahead of my depth.
You should be able to sell the pro coil and get about 75% of your money back...and I'd bet a little somthin'-somethin' that you wouldn't have the same luck selling the slimline coil.

i agree with bill here with the exception that i have yet to experience ANY ghost signals with the pro coil and the other hunter he speaks of is is a guy we hunt with regularly and i have gotten only 1 signal that he also got but claimed a nail sounded better how ever it turned out to be a bust dime at 11 almost 12 inches with a nail in the side of the hole....so for me the pro hits coins a TAD bit better...just my 2cents is all.. but what ever you use the works for you is what you should be using....no substitute for what WORKS.....

He is still a little ticked off at you for finding the 1833 Bust Half dollar and also the 1835 Bust Half/dime plus the 1833 bust dime in the same area. He figured that (3) Bust coins from the same 20 sq ft area, you should have shared, at least let him find (1)

yea i wish he would have gotten at least one of them also...as for the pic..heck that would be hijacking this thread and I'm to lazy to start a new one...everybody knows what a bust coin looks like anyway...especially you since you where the one that wiped the dirt off them for me hahahah
