Explorer sweep speed..

I really feel a nice level, close to the ground slow speed equates to depth but...we have a local kid(anyone under 40 is a kid to me) that swings quite briskly excells and gets them as deep as anyone using no secret set up. Guess I am trying to say the Explorer works well with many setups and hunting variations. By the way at the local planted hunt the Minelab rep and this fellow had a good talk and heck the rep stated overnight to hunt our 100 year old park with him.Really feel was a learning process for both.

I hunt fairly fast myself, as long as you know which blips to listen for you can do well fast... However you get in iron and extreme trash you gotta slow it down

and it's as simple as thinking about every signal you were just able to squeeze out. They aren't found running around.

Buttons I still rule. <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">

He hunts silver and just listens for the high spike. I guess I am just a slow swinger but it equates to depth for me. Excellent hearing is not an atribute for me, but with tones I excell so one has to use what works for him. Go out with a fellow that swings fast with for instance an XLT and he won't go as deep as me but cover more ground for the shallower silver...In reallity works both ways depending on your area and indeed trashy areas better slow down..

If you are nulling alot then you gotta go slow or you will not hear the coin as your coil is going over it as long as your detector is still trying to reset itself after the null.
If you are in Iron Mask -16 you can go pretty good and not have to worry much about nulling.

What is this fetish you have with me having more than one detector? and more than one coil? You've brought this up before.
If I thought the Explorer was the end all coup de grace for metal detectors I would just own it. Obviously Minelab does not think it can "do it all" as it has other detectors it sells.
Obviously Minelab does not believe one coil is good enough and neither does Coiltec or Sun Ray.
The pro's use more than one detector, and more than one coil, you know. Try it some day. Maybe you'll come up to the pro status . . . like me <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin">

Do you wear a Peter Pan outfit when you swing... guess that would only be on the Garrett days huh. <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">
