Explorer XS II Nickel Question

A

Anonymous

Guest
What do you read nickels at in dual digital? On my Explorer XS II they read 10-5/6 & 11-6/7. Problem is that tabs do, too. Most of the time I can tell by tone, but not if I haven't found a nickel in a while (call it a tin ear). That's where I wish the meter was of more help.
My old Sovereign XS with meter was almost always dead on with nickels. In a trashy park (like where I was today) it was really tough to sort out the tabs from the nickels.
Any tips?
Thanks.
Bill

Hi Bill,
The nickels I dig come in at these numbers:
10-05, 10-06, 09-05, 09-06, 08-05, 08-06. I've had one or two come in at 03-05.
Hope this helps,
HH Randy
