Explorer's hand grip

Dang

Active member
Could someone take a few pics of their explorer's hand grip area for me please? Mine came with it's grip missing. When I cleaned it the other day I had to use my son's toothbrush to get the dirt out of all the surface dimples. So i want to rig up something for a hand grip. Any ideas out there?
Thanks

Haven't got my Explorer yet, but have heard of people using tennis racket wrap to make there grip more comfortable on other machines.

That might be the way to go ,with a piece of sponge, then wrapped with tennis racket tape. I did my f-70 with the tape ....way to sweet..makes it like a new detector!!

I don't have a close up pic, but on the F-75 section there are some pics of the grip wrapped with baseball bat wrap, looks swell to me.

I had a couple pictures of my X-1 probe, you can see the handle. Hope it helps!

Don't have a picture handy but I wrap my handle grip in what is called "Vet Wrap" (known by other knames as well) which is found in sporting goods stores, Wal-mart, TSC (Tractor Supply), etc.

Comes in a variety of colors. It is useful for vet's to wrap legs on horses and other 4 legged critters to provide support for their ankle/legs. It is somewhat elastic and sticks to itself. Here is a link for someplace that has pictures of the product:

Works well and when ya get tired of looking at the dirt it has accumulated, remove it, put on a fresh one and keep the original handle neat and clean.
