Charles, your site had a ton of really good info, any chance you can repost that stuff on Findmall so everyone could see it?
 
Tube amps for guitars...Using Russian tubes? Still have the problem of electrolytics drying out and hissing and popping? Had an old Magnetone. Sweetest amp I ever had. Even had it rebuilt once. After awhile it always started hissing and popping again. So now have a solid state Fender.. Yuck!! Jim

Yeah I'm using Wing C's. Electrolytics last a bit longer than they did in the old days but eventually yeah they need replacing. Here's an amp I'm finishing up.

Sweet work on those amps Charles. Know of a guy in Seattle that built tube amps for the big stage bands. I think he called his shop Soft Science. When you brought something in for repair, you literally walked on resistors, capacitors, etc. He'd take them out of something and throw them on the floor. After a few years instead of sawdust on the floor he had electrical innards.
He also stumbled on a way to reproduce the Reverb of the old Fender reverb amps. He now custom builds them for the rock bands. Jim
