Just want to know which one has the fastest processor, the SE or the II and how much slower than the Etrac processor is it? Having trouble deciding which one to buy. Thanks for the info. John

If you're hunting fast enough to tell the difference between the 3 you have listed ... you're probably hunting to fast to get the best out of it anyway.

Put the 11" Pro on either one and I seriously doubt you could tell any difference between them.

But to answer your QUESTION ... the E-Trac is the fastest, then the SE, then the II .... but I"ll stick with my previous statement.

My advice call Minelab U.S.A. and get it from the tech's...

Don't know how much research you have done but the big difference was the love hate situation of the new coil on the SE.

Some loved it and some felt it just picked up a lot of interference.Actually some used the 11 model coil on the SE...

For your info once they straightened out the bugs in the then new XS 1st model many are still being used and performing quite well so perhaps that will help you out in your decision.

I use the II and among the other Minelab users that I hunt with (5 people), the one XS is the only one that consistantly outperforms me. Of course, it could be the user, but after reading time and time again about users saying they miss their XS because it was so hot on silver, I'm thinking it might be a little better at just that.

The SE has VCO pinpoint (with a lot more power than the II) and ID's in pinpoint mode. Those are two features I wish my II had.

Im with Mike in the hands of a pro any of the minelabs work very well. I also have to say the XS is as good as any of them and is simpler to use. If you buy one hunt with a buddy that knows his stuff and you wont care which processes faster. They may process slower, but when you are moving slow.... man can you hear the beep beep beep. Id had to hunt that slow with anything faster.

I use an XS and have been very happy with it. I'd have to say it's in the best or second best detector I've ever used and I've tried many machines over the years. Found my first silver quarter with it as it loves silver and copper also. I'm currently using it with the 11" pro coil although the original coil that came with this machine is a great coil, just a little heavier than the pro.
