F-5 Gets Eagle

Well-known member
After all the snow melted I was able to get out last weekend for a short hunt and got a nice eagle. I was using the 5 " DD and the separation is great. I put on the 11" DD and had to switch back to the small coil due to all of the trash. I had already gone over the area with the stock 10". I guess if you change your coil it seems like you are going in with a different detector. This weekend is screwed due to the 4 inches of rain that is expected but hope to get out next weekend. The site was a possible old house or some sort of building, some of the old stone foundation is around.

Take care

Bob

Great find. I swing the F-5 myself. I have been in the market for the 5" coil too. My primary hunting grounds is my parent's early 1800's farmhouse which was also a blacksmith shop. The iron trash is unbearable.
