F-70 finds 3 ladies and a GW

These are from last Sunday. I was hunting an athletic field, one that I had hunted before. Occasionally I would find a wheat penny at this field, so I was hoping to find some silver. About an hour into the hunt, I found a merc dime 4 inches down. A foot away I found another one at the same depth. Very happy at finding the 2 ladies, twenty minutes later I uncovered a 3rd merc, this one 3 inches down. I can't remember when I last had a 3 silver day. It was almost dark and looked like rain would start at any time. Not wanting to quit, I got back to searching and just before dark I dug the GW. I did a quick happy dance as it started to rain. Packed it up headed home and celebrated with a couple of cold ones.

Sorry to mislead, Ha Ha ! I don't think I will be finding any inaugural buttons in Idaho, but you never know !

Congrats on a 4 silver day, you should have stopped on the way home and picked up a lottery ticket.

Super day Larbear! That's more silver than I've found all year. These ' silver honey holes' are rare. It might pay you to go back and grid that area off and listen for some deeper silver tones. That f70 is one fine machine.

Thanks for the good advice! Depending on the weather, I will be going back to grid. I already did a north to south, next time I will do a east to west. And then a diagonal.
Yes, the F-70 seems to be a good machine. Light weight, long battery life, easy to learn menu. Great on nickels, I am over 500 for the year.
