F-70 question

May i be so bold as to ask just one more question, what does the F 70 air test in its slow mode SL in all metal on a dime using the 11" DD coil ?

Can't answer that, but at Doug's treasure den when I bought the F 70, we had the F70 with a 10" concentric lying right next to a F5
with a 11" DD and they both air tested between 8 and 9 inches on a silver dime and 10 plus on a clad quarter . Hope that helps even though air tests may not
be a good comparison for reality depending on your soil. It should be a good comparison in the difference between machines. I get about 2 more inches in my
sandy ground when running in SL verses Default at the same sensitivity and threshold settings but again I'm using a 10" concentric. Hope this helps------HH --Larry

Dude, it took me a while but I found it!...I crawled back through some old posts...fun to read, Gosh we were bored! anyway..there was a poster here, azsh07, Scott was his name I think, who did some good videos on the F70 last winter/early spring...If you go into his posts and look back in Feb and before, when we were all cooped up with cabin fever, and Jimtn was finding silver halfs to be damned, he kept us going with some decent vids and depth studies on the F70..If you click on his name you can read all of his posts regarding the F70, actual hunting vids and coin garden too...I learned a lot just from his effort. I'm no good to you on your specific question, and at risk of being called a liar, (relatively common occurrence, no offense taken) I've hit dimes in wet sand or chips with the 70 11"dd at 8" or more, not all the time or often, but when it does happen, I remember being impressed...usually I don't go after deep targets in dirt, unless they are quarterish sounding and solid, and y'all know I run real weak settings, rarely ground balance, and am generally gunning shallow clad and jewelry. Closest thing I can remember was shooting through 5" of snow and hitting coin targets solid that were 3" down in the dirt, so that's sort of an air test/dirt test high coil info. I've never run in Sl mode, with Allmetal, maybe somebody has.
