Cant answer your question..all I have is the 11"dd...the fellows that use it swear by that 5 though...If'n I was going to buy one thing this year that would be it...that said, some of us run really light on the sens and neg on the thresh to get things settled down to the point of finding good stuff...funny thing about old silver, some of it is not that deep, so a guy has to get comfortable with a steady program to hear the good from the bad...it may sound sort of stupid, but a lot of times I run the coil in a verticle hop pattern than a side to side sweep, like a blind man tapping with a cane, or a guy jigging through a hole in the ice..seems the signal is then pulsed down instead of scattered...so that sort of equates to using a large coil as a sniper I suppose...and Dbax, I nearly wet myself through laughter!
