F 75/F 70 users I need your help............

Thinking of getting the F70 because it seems simpler than the F 75. Money is not a problem but ease of use is important to me. I've been told by some that the F70 is not a very good detector(much reduced detecting power) and that there is an oversupply of them? Is there any truth to this? Also in practical use what would i miss if I bought the F 70. Got rid of the Whites DFX because it wore out my arm............so now I'm looking at Fisher. Help me to make a good choice, need your opinions and advice on these two units. Which way would you go.??? Thanks for your replies!!

The F70 doesn't lose much if any depth over the old F75. The new F75 LTD/SE models with boost mode is a different story. They are deeper in boost mode for sure. Call me if you have more questions or want better pricing options. Love to help you, bart.

I think you'd be happier with the F75 as it stores the setting when powered down and you can go right back to hunting without retuning, if you wish. Also none of the F series are really hard to use. F5 maybe the most intimidating. I really think if as you say money is no object the boost/cache features of the LTD/SE models of the F75 make it a very desireable unit for virtually every type of hunting on dry land. The F70 is a fine machine, but the F75 has more options without being difficult to use.

You say simple. F70 is very simple. You say your arm is gone because of your other detector. F70 is light and very well balanced, I think the best balanced machine made. The F70 has many adjustments/settings that you can play with (sensitivity/threshold). You can just run normal settings. If you are just a coin hunter like me, I love the F70. I live in a big city and really do not like to dig deep holes in the parks. I am getting up there in age also and these are my wind down years that should be fun and enjoyable.
If you are really looking for those very deep signals/relics and want to rev up everything and fly around like a mad man with a lot of flair I would go with the F75Ltd. It is hot and in the right hands really is hard to beat for power. Just kidding of course.... Everything is there with F75Ltd.
But if you are a simple, relaxed, easy going guy that just likes coin shooting finding jewelry and old coins by mistake. Than you could be looking at the F70 as a better option. It works great on fresh water beaches also. Since I am telling might as well say get the 6.5" coil also. I have the 11" but usually use it on the beaches.

I would say the F75 for its versatility over the F70. If money is not a issue. Also, if for any reason you don't like Fishers, a F75 will re-sale better than a F70. In what I see on FeeBay..........F70's almost have to be given away to re-sell. JMHO

go f-75!..it gives you more options!..never used the f-70,but the f-75
is easy to learn,and you'll have no regrets! if you want i'll sell you mine for short money!

i own both the 70 and the 75ltd. Im not sure that i became as familiar with the f70 as I have so far with the LTD, but I know by shear luck I found some very good locations while using the 70. And with came my best silvers, older large cents , shield nickels, indians, etc. I was running it very hot and I was getting very deep stuff. You heard last year about the virgin park I did with the multiple old coins, but freakishly they where for the most part 1-3 inches deep. At that park I was using my newly purchased ltd, so it didnt get its chance to shine depth wise. It does seem to hit some of the 8 inch and deeper stuff more regularly and I feel more confidant about the dig no did decisions with it. I do get very deep beer and soda cans with the 75ltd. But Im not sure I got anything yet deeper than say I did with the F70. But again could of just been luck of the locations. I really found the adjustable threshold setting important on the 70, is there a comparable adjustment setting on the LTD? Someone clear that up for me please. The battery life was definitely longer on the 70. I keep the 70 as my back up, although at another post, I noted Im going to take it our for a re ride very soon for comparative sake. If it was a dollar decision the 70 wouldn't be a mistake though. It kicks you know what.! This post probably of not much help.
