I have been a long time F75 series user as most of you know. Around 2007 was my first F-75 standard

I am using a F75 LTD !..I have had the SE, and Cameo editions, and I think one other release version if I recall correctly...

All have been really good detectors overall, and all each worked in a little bit different way.... My favorite is the NOW Version F75 LTD.

I didn't think it could be made to work any better.......... I was wrong.... [size=x-large]Add a 10" concentric coil to your line up[/size]............. run 85 sensitivity ( very Quiet) operating, Turn discrimination up as far as possible( 65.).. and just watch your [size=large]F-75 come to life.[/size] I am a Silver hunter ........ not so much rings, and other stuff ..

I started hitting dimes at 10" ( 5 count ) with loud audible, and accurate ID. In areas I had been before. One lone quarter at 11" . You will be amazed with the operation ............

This was in pounded by me locations... The machine becomes very stable with the 10" coil, and high sensitivity... with the 11" DD I do admit it was a little chatty at times...

I never tried the concemtric 10" coil in all 7 years of detecting with a 75..............Until today...

I will start watching for a good deal on a 10". I never ran a 10" either on the F75Ltd but I did have one on a F5 and it seemed to lose some depth.

I have be telling everybody about running high disc for the deep silver for years, and all I get back is try running disc at 4 or 6. I finally just gave up. A lot of times around here I can run the 11DD at 90 sensitivity and max on the disc.

They just never tried the high gain side of the F75 They want all hits, rings etc..I don't................ No depth loss with the 10" in my dirt. I suspect the 75 has enough output power to overcome that.... It just lit up the 75. With way less deep iron hits,and those pesky old steel mixed made pull tabs from early 60's.
The 11" DD loves those old tabs for sure.And rings up as a high coin many times..I swear that is my only gripe with the 75..If I were a ring hunter maybe no gripe would be in order.


I must say I enjoyed the quiet operation............... Silent search for sure...........

Its these types of secrets one only gets by reading the Forums! I wonder if running a high disc in silver coin bearing strata would open up the 70 or the F5 a bit?

Thats some deep stuff! 10" dimes is about at the limit of just about any rig out there..I'm gonna remember this post in case I get into some deep old loam...in fact, I have such a place come to think of it, found a barber dime there once at 6"...I'll go out there and crank sens and max disc and see what happens...thanks!

Maybe mud..................my 10" has an F-70 sticker on it..LOL ............ Some dirt may be different and would require a little less sens..but the way it hit my dimes I expect 70 or 75 sens would have been enough..

The hits were loud........ no doubt a good hit and the ID and confirmation meter confirmed .................

Elton----FT used to make that little 3 X 6" concentric (think that's the measurements) "football" coil for the F-75.----They still show up FS once in awhile, it was a good little coil.

El I use the 6.5" coil all the time. It is so light and I have dug coins at 5"-6" deep with it. That is with the sensitivity@70 or less. I don't remember the last time I ran the F70 sensitivity over 80 or more?? It is very easy to pin point and the targets are nice and crisp sounds. Many times when I put the screw driver to mark the target I hit the target. Don't forget you get the lower rod and hardware with the coil....Z

Also if you are dead set on running the machine in high gain all the time just put it in JE mode it is 100% high gain and set you disc where ever you want it.

Another tip if you want the F75Lte to run hotter than a 4 dollar pistol, just set disc at 65, sensitivity as high as you can stand, then notch in items. Like if you want all coins you can set a notch around nickels and another even up around Indian head pennies. Also if you want to clean up your signal you can run 1 tone.

Mud I can't say what the F70 will do but it is easy to check, just air test say a dime running low disc and get the max inches from the coil, then leave everything the same except run your disc up to max and do the dime again. If you get another inch and half or more from the first test the F70 works the same as the F75.

Thanks Del I forgot about that coil....everyone pushed the 5" DD so much it kinda got pushed to the side in all the hoopla didn't it..

I would like to try that coil..and might buy one for my own testing... If it cleans up the rusty caps, and allows disc to be run at full 65. Then it just has to be a winner, and should hit coins at 6 or maybe 7 inches. While running quiet and no emi problems ... That would not be to bad for a 6" coil in my opinion....

Nice thread!

At the beach, on my Camo F75-LTD, the 10 inch concentric is more tolerant of not having the ground balance spot on over the wet salt areas than the 11 inch DD. Over the dirt, the 10 inch coil did not seem to give me as good of a pin point as the 11 inch DD. I'd seem to get off to one side or the other even when I spent time walking around the target. I did not try it with a high discrimination setting going only after the high conductive targets. I may have to try that!!!

The 6.5 inch elliptical is my preferred small coil on the LTD. Heck, my 5 inch DD still looks new; think I've used it once since I got the 6.5 elliptical. Don't know how much variance there is coil to coil, but the 6.5 that I have gets very good depth and lets me get very close to poles, metal fences and reenforced side walks.

I Know you are talking Fisher but wonder if the T2SE would do that? Elton Remember I ran the f75 ltd in the pl mode was hitting dimes with the 5" 9" deep wrote about it a while back. Try it in the PL mode see what happens.

For relic hunting a ran mine at 60 sensitivity, 39 disc. and used boost process. Filled up the case in no time. Got rid of the nails and dug deep coins and buttons. I think a lower sensitivity complements boost process.

I don't know if they have a 10" coil for the T2 goldman... 75 and T2 are not compatible....

I did the same thing, and I ended up selling about every detector I had and just bought me another new Ltd.

Had to have a water Machine futhers i got was the Bath Tube. Sold it got the T2SE it was 2 weeks old new in box. Put some $ together next month or two sell it get my F75SE back

Don't forget goldman.The iron disc is a little better on the T2, than the F75, for coin hunting...

....................... far less steel rusty cap digging.......... and many less iron pieces hits...

The T2 has it's place in the coin hunting line up..and it's right up there. Near the top... Though I do say openly once you use a F75 LTD... it's hard to go anywhere else in the First Texas line-up..
I do like the T2 original green and black...............


After 7 years there abouts..the full potential of The F-75 is starting to be noticed by many in our hobby... It was not understood for a long time..

Going to give it a good try once i get the Groud Grab fixed. Call them ask some question's it did the same thing today but i never tryed the 11" coil maybe bad 5" coil who knows.

On my F70 I use the 11"DD more lately, but the first several hunts I only used the standard 10" elliptical and I love it...especially the shape.
Moving the coil way too fast at the end of my first F70 hunt looking for just one more good target it gave me clear, solid signal on a silver pendant as small as a dime at 6", and the target separation was so good it was able to pick out and alert me to a gold ring in a trash heap nestled right next to a piece of garbage a few hours later on another early hunt with the F70.
It also alerted me to a Beaver tail tab at 10" with no numbers on the screen but a solid repeating tone from several directions.
When I get tired experimenting with the big DD I will move back to the concentric and I am looking forward to that and trying things like this so thanks for the tip!
