F 75 question

Just bought a used F75 special edition. I thought it had boost mode. The box says SE but on the arm rest it just has the Fisher logo. It came with in line probe and con troll box cover. He said it was bought new around the beginning of 2010. When I do a reset it only shows an F. How can I tell what version I have. Also shouldn't it have special edition under F logo on armrest.
Paid 675.00 for it. I hope that wasn't too much.

The first F75 had Gold middle rod and black meters and arm rest. It does not have Bp and Cache mode on it.. The second edition LTD Camo colored does have the two extra modes. The last edition All black F75 has the two extra modes.
Boost Power & Cache Mode are the two included programs..


Turn off the detector..Then hold trigger forward and at the same time hold in the red button. Holding both turn on the machine it will give you the version numbers..........

Go scroll by pushing the red menu button down to "modes" on the left side of the screen and then as you rotate the black knob it will give the modes. DE, PF, JE, BP, CL, not maybe in that order but that is the modes if memory serves me right. DE = default. PF= ploughed fields. JE = jewlery. BP = boost and CL= cache mode.

OK I held the trigger forward pushed red button then turned on machine. Number 75 came up then released both trigger and button F showed up witch is factory preset i think.
One section is gold where the control box is, the rest is black. Does anyone know approximately what year they stopped making this version? Can I send it in to get software updated?

The date of manufacture is on underside of battery compartment , i think.

Mine was a 2008 I think thy came out in 07
Thy later dropped the SE logo
I think thy dropped it when the LTD came out and brought it back
as special edition , all black with boost mode
after the LTD run was over.

Yes, there has been a never ending amount of confusion in the naming tactics by Fisher. Some have the F75, then the F75 Special Edition, then the F75 Limited edition. I've even seen some models described as the black SE, meaning the control box and stems are all black rather than camo.
Turn off the detector. Hold in the red button and push the toggle switch forward. Turn on the machine and release the red button and toggle switch. The LCD should say LE. Or at least this is what mine says. This also resets the detector to factory settings. Good Luck.
