F-POINT PINPOINTER

Does anybody have one of these? I was just wondering if it was a piece of junk or decent................Bill in NC

Bill,
I have the Bounty Hunter PP which is the same ...both made by the same company..look and operate the same way... It is defiantly better than nothing and does it's job...that being said within a week of owning it I bought a Garrett PP which is much better..the BH you would almost have to be touching the coin, also the construction is a little on the cheap side...the Garrett you can get about 2" which is about right for a pp and the thing is built like a tank...that being said if you can afford the Garrett get one if you can't or don't want to spend the money the fisher will work okay.

spend the money on the Garrett Pro Pointer if you can. I just got my Garrett PP last week and I LOVE it. Cuts target retrieval time down immensely. Pinpoints so well that I now "coin pop" my find instead of having to dig as much. I was using a Automax Precision V4 pinpointer that I received along with my detector. The Automax does the job, but will not pinpoint as well as the Garrett. I ended up having to dig much bigger holes than needed. Also on the Automax...... the sensing tip has come lose after 3 months of use. But nothing a little bit of glue won't fix. Still works well and I will use as a backup.

I read somewhere that the BH pin pointer was a piece of !@#$ and I was thinking it looked the same as the F-pointer except that the Fisher is about 30.00 more. Bounty Hunter hasn't bought out Fisher has it?

If you need something to get by with until you get the funds for a Garrett. I would suggest this one from Harbor Freight for $17.00 it works better than the Automax V4. I have both and the Automax went to the junk box. When you get your Garrett you can pitch the H.F, I put mine in my range bag to find brass. Here is a link so you can take a look.
