F2/4/5 ring pre hunt help

Hey all, looking for a medium weight, mans, simple solid, white gold ring on the weekend.
any ball park numbers I should be looking for.
ALL educated guesses and knowledge appreciated.
not too familiar with the Higher F models but all help from those people also appreciated.

Gold in general reads lower on the conductivity scale than other non-ferrous metals ie. copper/zinc/silver. Also, 10kt reads lower than 14kt...so many variables. A very large/chunky man's ring of 14kt gold may read in the 60's...however, if you dig everything between foil and pull tab you won't miss much that you swing your coil over. Based on your description I'd probably focus on pull tab zone of targets but don't ignore lower/higher targets or you could miss it. Be prepared to dig trash...that's what it takes. Good luck.

Lets see ....

Small ring (childs 10k ring) ..... came in at 22 on the F5.

Large ring for a man, 14k ..... 34 with the F5.

Ladies class ring, 10k ...... 44 with the F5.

Gold ring ... 14k that belongs to my wife ..... 34 with the F5.

Gold ring that was passed down to my wife (was her mothers wedding ring) ..... 14k ..... and is small / thin .... 32 with the F5.

Anyone notice a pattern here ?

All even numbers ........

Has anyone had a gold ring come in with an odd number readout ?

I'll go with 34ish, based on the one gold one I've found..same as a pulltab.. but there was something different enough about the sound to make me dig it up... nice surprise

30, plus or minus 1- 4 numbers. If it is a recent loss, watch for loud to over ring tone, too. Good luck. HH jim tn

I hit 2 10K rings on top each other about 1/2 down, they rang in at solid 31 with F-70 HH Stryker
