F2 a silver magnet, lately...

REVIER

Well-known member
Been too cold to dig every blasted signal like I usually do, so I have been using the F2 instead of my Tesoro's for that little extra info on the screen.
In my soil here in Kansas, trash like pull tabs, small can slaw, foil and even most bottle caps seem to bounce all over the place at least 10 numbers if not more, and gives me a great indication it is trash.
Still dig all solid sounding tones and numbers that don't bounce much, but all the real bouncing ones have been trash so I am leaving those alone and in the ground...for now.

Had a great week with it, found 3 nice pieces of silver on 3 different hunts at 3 different sites.
Been lucky so far, I will stick with my great little F2 for awhile, I guess.

Found That hugs and kisses thing last Sunday...about the size of a quarter, rang up as a dime and a 73.

The Faith ring came in as a 76 and solid sounding on Monday...thought it might have been a can since most of my silver rings came in as a dime 71-73 before, but it did not scream at me like a big can would have.
Nice!

On Thursday I went to a park and got this high tone 77 that was solid and nice, but did sound a little weird.
When I dug it I realized those keys added the weird part to this nice key chain and tag signal.

8.4 grams of Tiffany silver!
Keys were wrecked, the chain and tag came out of the ground clean and beautiful.

It was a great week for me and the F2.
Hope you guys had the same!

I have gotten pretty good with this one...taught some people a few things that I have discovered about this great machine in the past.

Lately, however, the F2 and me have been really clicking.
I have also gathered a huge amount of clad since the beginning of the year...over $50 worth...the bulk of it found with the F2.

Always try to learn new things and try to gain insights every time I go out with any detector I use.
It's a never ending thing, really.
Love this hobby!

This thing is so great, fast and responsive, and crazy as it is, it is considered only a beginners unit.

Makes me long to see what I can do with an F5, F70 or F75.

Maybe one day.

Which I assume will become increasingly popular in the future. Speed sweeping clad is just as valid a skill as searching deep silver. 50-100 bucks per month is attainable, at the rate of 10 to 15 bucks per outing, no real digging required, a real thinking game non-the less, quick smokejumping after festivals/games/events etc. THEN, you toss in a real focus on gold/silver jewelry..!
The only problem is replenishment, but hey, once a fellow gets to know a park, and grabs all the surface clad, its much easier to go and snipe for a few deep missed silvers.
Its a GREAT hobby, and has so many differrent styles and skills associated with it..should keep us interested and out of trouble for a long time!

Nice finds REVIER.!!

Shows just what a F2 will do. I really love mine. My Sov gets more depth but the F2 is certainly easy to swing.
