I am getting that itch, again, but I already own 3 great detectors, 4 if you count my BH dust collector.
I was aiming for a V3i one day, but I am getting so good with the F2 I wonder what I can do with one of the upper end F series.
I mean it seems I kinda know a lot of the fisher language, already.
Hit a new site and I used the F2 like always to get the lay of the land, find anything decent, and determine the amount and level of trash.
Love my Tesoro's, but the jumpy numbers on the screen on the F2 give me some great info about trash targets, and I like that when I am lazy or in just a cherry picking mood.
Evidently I found another site that most hunters pass by, so this virgin soil is ripe for the picking.
Lots of foil, dug some of that looking for gold but no luck on that this trip, but those high tones were the ones I am after because I am a jewelry hunter and there would be a better chance for silver.
Dug that locket in the clad pic, held my breath for a second but it's only silver plated if even that.
Got a high tone signal but it was only a 68, not in the lower 70's like most of my other silver, and thought it might have been a piece of can slaw but the tone sounded really sweet so I dug it.
That dolphin ring popped up for me...only the nicest silver ring I have dug so far.
Just before leaving, and after knocking out everything but dimes and quarters for my walk back to the truck, fortune favored the bold once again and that second 925 ring popped up.
This time a more normal 73-74.
Lots more here at this site if I could just wander around aimlessly and find these 2 silvers, and I bet there is gold hanging around here, too.
Going back to clean this thing out as many times as I can till I get it all, and the F2 seems to like it here so that is the one that is first up to bat for a more concentrated hunt.
