I was at the local GW store and found a bag on a shelf. Took a quick peak inside and saw that it was a metal detector. Seeing as how it was seniors' day (25% off), I picked it up. When I arrived home, I discovered it was a Fisher F2. It is in like brand new condition with a bunch of never used accessories. Not a high-class unit, but still a good buy at $4.12

fun detector

Down to 6 inches it is a formidable detector. No thrill will find the goods
My son found an 1864 coin with it and an eagle button. Nice score

I started out with an F4 but the f2 was still a good start machine . Keep working it you will get good results.. hhricknmi

I took it to a local park and searched the wood chips around the play areas. With my DFX I can't detect close to metal, but with the F2 I can. It works great.

I tried the F2 when it first came out. It was the first $200 detector that offered a 3-piece rod setup. I bought the F4 DD coil to run on it and it was a quarter sweeper on the sports fields. I could hunt right down the chain link fences with it.
I think you found a wonderful deal.
