Having managed to get hold of the BH Magnum 10" coil, Ive only tried it for a short time till yesterday. I desided to go to a place i seemed to have cleared apart from the odd penny here n there.....Anyway I found these differences between the 11x7DD & the magnum.

Depth seemed to be very similar & not very conclusive, But I did notice the magnum coil gave me a 61 id number a few times this number is guranteed 99% of the time to be a

The BH 10" works great on the F4. One problem (in the US at least) it solves is the DD's love for bottle caps, which ID incorrectly as US quarter dollars. Not a problem with the 10" concentric coil. Depth is about the same, to slightly more on the concentric. The DD is a coin rake though, and works well in trash (aside from bottle caps).

Your idea of sweeping with the 11" DD and then using the concentric to clean up is a good one.....I'm using it (F4 with DD) on some playing fields at present and it's great on the wide open spaces...I'm finding more than I'd hoped. but when I'm done with the DD I intend to then go over it with a concentric, though I may use a small one rather than large (for this area). The F4 with the DD is deadly on our $1 and $2 coins (AUD). Brian is right about the bottle caps, so at present I'm ignoring the majority of signals in the high tone. Ground is too hard here so it's not worth ruining my wrist digging bottle caps. HH
