WOW finally i found me a 44 merc.I know its no big deal but was sure cool recovering this coin, and it was deep 4 to 5".Lost it twice, but kept digging!!!!

Yeahh it wasd fun,.for the rest of you guys[girls] on this F4 i have had several hits like this but never went with them.Now i know ,if you run in the disc mode 65-100 dig it!!! Like i said i lost this 2.Now i am going full blown and checking my list twice!!!!!!!

This F4 is a nice little machine but if you want to get realy nasty go with F5 or 70 75 i think these mach. will go deeper.I think with my F4 iam missing alot.JMHO
 
I doubt that you are missing as much stuff as you think. There are still plenty of good finds out there that are easily within reach of your detector. Sounds like you are taking the time to learn what your detector is telling you and that's very important. I know you've heard is said many times on this forum but a person that really knows his less expensive detector is going to do better that someone with an expensive detector that does not take the time to learn how to use all those bells and whistles. Sometimes simpler is better. Research your area and put your coil in areas that should contain older finds and they will come.
