F4 vs The Delta 4000?

Old Katz

New member
I have a question for you all: I am looking to buy the F-4 but
was told to take a look at the Delta 4000 for consideration.

I realize its probably too soon to ask the question but how does this
Delta 4000 stand up to the F-4? Anyone here have information?

Would appreciate all the feed back I can get before making a decision.

Is the pinpoint similar to the Ace to do you have to X the target
and hope your spot on?

Can it use the many coils the F2 can use from Bounty Hunter? It seems to me
the Bounty coils are very reasonable compared to other brand name detectors.

What about ground balancing? Is it about the same as the F4? The F4 GB is incredibly simple.

What problems have people noticed so far.

Regards
Katz

Dont know about the Delta 4000, But I love my F4 Well worth the cash and as said before an overlooked & uderrated little GEM. Only 2 complaints I keep wearing my pockets out with the coins im finding & keep getting a bad back with all that getting up n down digging my loot....LOL but im not complaining

Ditto to what backache says. The more I use the F4 the more I want to use it. Not to say that the Delta 4000 is not as good. I dont know, I haven't got one. I did see one or two posts on the Tecknetics forum.

I've got both of them....and I love them both! They are both SERIOUSLY under-rated. There are differences, of course, but as far as performance-wise, I say they are about equal. The differences will be in the personal preferences, such as size of screen and so forth. But really, you can't go wrong with either one.

Eddie, it was good to read your post....there have been a couple of times when I've thought that I might be too easy to please, particularly when reading posts about the "higher range detectors". I've thought that if the F4 is this good, how good are some of the other machines...but then I tell myself that the F4 gives me everything I want and more than I expect from a machine in that price range. As it's my first Fisher machine, I'm still learning to get the best out of it, but it has been a great machine.
