F5 5"DD coil any users?

I prefer to use the eliptical coil that comes with it. I have used the five inch coil but to me it just doesn't go as deep as the eliptical coil that comes with it. I bought the eleven inch double d coil to go with mine. I think that is the best combination. That's my opinion. I just wish I hadn't traded my F5.

About ready to purchase a 5" DD coil and wondered how it is liked with the F5?

Digger...It's a killer within its target-size-depth related ratio.

I can hunt and find 1 inch diameter coins at depths of 7 inches max....reasonable ground.

I can find find targets easier/better, amongst junk

All this is common sense really.....just what you expect of a 'smaller' coil.

If you ever buy and use one, in 'tough' situations, then the results will speak volumes for always having a small coil.

So the criteria is:- Do I have problematic sites???....Bad ground (FE)...trashy..(iron or litter).....

The simple joy of its ease of use and pin-pointing on the fly...without hitting the 'button'......Love my little elliptical coil on my F75.

Just a reminder....Never forget that that very important factor of metal detecting.....
The smaller the search head's AREA-to-targets-size ratio, the better the signal to ground effect ratio.

ABSOLUTELY and rarely ever emphasised....is the vast improvement at its REDUCED susceptibility to EMI.

Hope I've mentioned enough to justify you buying one.....Matt...TheMarshall

I think you have, i do have places that are heavy with junk and i know there is good targets there and i think this will do the job. Will try one and see how it performs.

Thanks
