I have been working alot lately and hunting time has been limited. I have managed some short hunts here and there. Still loving my f70. So sunday after work I stopped at an old school that has been beat to death but about 200 yards from the school old photos show a baseball field which is now a farm field. I believe the previous hunters in the area missed this little fact. Kinda funny since the backstop is still there just very over grown with trees and brush. This ball field has given up a couple dozen wheats a few indians,some buffs, 6 mercs and now these! The quarters were about 6" deep and about 10" apart in the area of centerfield.

F70 finds a few beauties!

I am very happy to find them. I have only found 2 standing liberties in the past and both were very worn with no dates. These 2 look awesome! The ball field was just doing my homework. I am just glad the previous hunters didn't find it. Or if they did they didn't hunt it very much. The area close to the school is picked clean. Not much but a few pull tabs left.

Jimmy that's what I call a top 10 day in metal hunting for anybody. Really nice haul and those quarters are in great condition. By looking at the dates and the condition I'd estimate those coins were lost before WW11 started. That f70 is one fine machine!
