F70 for a few weeks "Maybe??"

I am taking a break from my other detector that I have been swinging since Dec.
If you haven't appreciated your F70 in a while stop and give it a big hug. It is a magnificent machine. The balance, lightness, speed, flexibility, ease of use, depth, pin pointing, ease of switching coils, headphones, coil selection and information on targets. I am thinking of going back to the F70. Sometimes the new detectors aren't nearly as good as the hype. After some use you have to admit that you are lying to yourself and others. It is not my type of detector. The F70 is much better for me. That is the fork in the road I am now standing at??
Here is a school hunt yesterday with the F70.
Thanks for looking and Happy Trails....Z

Jim I can see you have been there too.
Osgood I can't tell you how many times today when pin pointing I would put the probe in the ground to mark the spot, I would hit the coin. If I didn't hit the coin all I had to do was make the hole bigger with the probe and put the pin pointer in the probe hole and it would sound off because the coin was just too deep for the pin pointer to pick up. All I did today was make "V" cuts and get the coin out of the ground.
Thanks for reading and HH....Z

I agree the F70 is a very good machine.
Bart I really like to try out the new detectors. I am thinking I am going to buy back my F70 from my friend. He told me to use it until I buy it back. Good friend... HH ....Z

Hey Zee I have been switching off also . Using the 70 mostly on playgrounds, heavy trash areas the other one . The 70 is so much easier on batteries semms like i go thru a set every two weeks with the other one I found part of a silver watch posted it on the other forum . HH stryker

Stryker I did see your post nice find and some good detecting my friend. The other detector is packed up ready to sell it. Thanks for reply and reading....Z

I too made the rounds. I am now selling my Etrac. Very good detector. Just too much detector for me. Going back to my F70 and XLT......Jack

I have to agree Jack some detectors just don't fit the person. They are great detectors but for some reason a connection between you and the detector never make a hit. Before I forget I sure do thank you and Elton for the help when I had my XLT. It made it much easier to try to handle the XLT. In the end I was spending so much time wondering if I had the right setting, detecting became a anxious chore. I loved the Safari but when I swung it for more than 3 hours I didn't know if I could go detecting the next day or not? I would come home exhausted but with some great finds. I am having the same experience with AT Pro my arm is really taking a beating using it.
After 4 years of trying many machines I am finally starting to understand what I want in a machine. Light, simple and flexible.
Thanks again Jack. HH......Z

Willie your asking the wrong guy about depth of any machine. I only run max sensitivity on the beach if it will run smoothly?
Every one is concerned with depth and about 95% of my coins and jewelry are found in the 0-4" range. I am only a coin hunter. I dig older coins and jewelry by accident.
I would probably say the AT Pro will get deeper and it is very good in trash. Best I used. It is really hard on the arm. That is why I went back to the F70. It easily gets 4-6" coins. But the thing I like about the F70 it is balanced so nicely. Real easy on the arm and detecting every day like I do. I can keep going out day after day and recoup to be ready to go out again the next day. Sometimes I go out every day for a couple of weeks. Hunts usually run about 2-5 hours.
Sorry Willie can't tell you how deep?
Thanks for reading .... Jerry
