F70 ing on the beach Summer is here!!!!

I noticed some asking about how the F70 works.
I have been out 41 times so far this year and the beaches haven't been giving up many coins. Usually getting 4 to 17 coins, 17 coins was the most until this morning. I have picked up a number of 40's and 50's wheats and nickels. One silver dime so far this year. My total so far this year is 503 coins. I am not really trying to beat my coin count any more because it gets too stressful. I had over 4,200 coins last summer. I am tracking how many times I get out this year and how many times I change batteries. I changed batteries for the first time at 32 times out.
I just turned 69 a few months ago and it takes me some time to build up to hunting 3 or more hours at a time.
I was running dis @ 20, de mode, sens @ 75 . thres @ -4 , tones @ 2F and I was digging coins at 5 plus inches. I was only looking for newer coins on the beach.
The F70 is a nice light, versatile detector and it does take a little while to get used to. I think it is a super detector for the money....
Thanks for reading and happy trails....Z

Great Job! sounds like you got your F70 figured out at the beach. Getting a little exercise, having fun, and getting paid to do it.

Good quanity of coins from the beach Z. I'm with you on trying to beat last year's numbers, too. I still keep up with any kind of silver and gold, but not from the standpoint of beating L Y or previous year's. We are just about the same age and I am just happy to get out daily and feel good doing so. HH jim tn

Nice return on the time you have spent out there. i am thinking of taking the F70 to the beach this year in place of the CZ-20 if I'm not wading. The weight differential is the primary factor. Just not sure how it will respnd to a large area of the beach that's lined up with a couple transmission towers downtown.

Thanks for the replies.
Jim and Sponnie I have been retired 10 years and I am doing just what I want to do. It is getting out with my F70 and detecting. We sold the house and now rent. Nothing to fix or maintain. Something needs fixing I call and maintenance comes and fixes the problem. It is all about enjoying the few years left. Of course my goal is to retired 30 years.
Tim I use the F70 on 6 beaches and it works on all beaches. That is why I like the F70. Speaking of detecting down town. I live in down town Milwaukee and the beaches I detect on are in the city. I have detected in many of the parks in Milwaukee county and the F70 has worked at all parks. Even near the freeways and the construction sites that have heavy machinery operating near the parks. Of course you have to adjust the F70 but I have worked every park that I have gone out to detect albeit some have had lots of noise but I still worked the park and got many coins. It is sooooo versatile. Did I mention that it is light? I can go out every day and detect. This has not been my experience with other heavy detectors. Enough!!!!
Thanks for reading and Happy Trails.... Z
