F70 vs F75 depth?

SWMO Mark

New member
How much difference in depth is there between the F70 w/ 11" dd coil set in Autotune compared to the F75 se in all metal and boost mode ?

Unless someone responds that has used both in the exact same place ..it will be hard to get a factual answer. Minerals, Junk in hunt site etc. will play a big role on the detectors depths.. almost every area has some restrictions on full output of any detector........ So for me to say..My F75 gets 10" on a dime in my area, would not be the same as what you may get in your area with the F-70 or vica versa............ Apples to apples is hard with two different detector comparisons..

Mark, Elton hit a home run with his advice. I have never owned both detectors at the same time but I have used both. I loved the F70. I was happy with the light weight, depth, and pin pointing. I went to the F75 because I liked the F70 so well. I also moved on because I wanted a back light for evening hunting. I tried a plain & 75 {non boost machine} and couldn't see much advantage over my F70. When the Camo LTD was offered it was off to the races. I had to have one. Super happy with my LTD. It will drag from the row you are hunting into a bean row next too you for a good signal. It actually hits good targets out on the edge of the swing that makes you take notice. The boost is also a great thing for tall grass hunts.
If I tried to sum it up from my experience you would like either one. The F 70 did a great job for me. I was happy enough to stay with Fisher and try their next offering. My LTD is a great all around hunter. Good luck with your decision and let us know what you decide.

I guess what I was hopeing was that someone on here had both machines to do a test on the stipulation I requested. I have a F70. In Autotune it is pretty deep. I was just wanting to see if there was much difference in depth with the same size coil on the F75 SE in all metal & boost mode. In my ground the disc. depth on Fisher detectors isnt very good. To get deep civil war bullets, we have to hunt in all metal. Just trying to see if there is enough depth difference between the 2 detectors to warrant an upgrade.
