F70 with the F75 7×11DD coil Problems

I'm having problems with my F70 with the F75 7×11DD Coil it won't pick up all 4. Ways just left to right...Up an. Down just one beep hard to pinpoint with it doing this. My Factory 10in coil has no problem picking up targets 4 ways. Is anyone else having the same problem with the F75 Coil 7×11????

I would say for the most part it is the design of the coil, your 10" is a concentric coil which puts out somewhat of a cone shaped signal. The 11" as you stated is a DD coil, now the signal it is putting out coming from that back bone shaped area in the middle of the coil which is a couple of inches wide and runs from heal to toe of the coil. So signal is kind in the same shape as that bar.

You can turn 90 degrees to your target and swing over it and if pay attention to where the coil crosses the target you will get your x marks the spot to dig. Another way to PP is off the toe of the coil. Just pull back off the target and then slowly head back in the target directions and when the you start picking up the target off the toe X marks the spot again.

I use an F70 with 5 different coils including the F75 11"DD...got no problems with any of them and pinpointing is not a problem, either, but I only swinging g side to side over targets and turn if I want to hit them from another direction.
Not sure what your problem is exactly...4 ways, one beep?
Are you trying to get a signal moving a DD coil north to south?
This way will help in identifying problem trash like pop tops using DD's because as you slide the coil that way from heel to toe over them you should see a drop in the numbers the same as if you are rimming them.
As far as getting repeatable signals from that north to south direction well then yea...don't do that.

Thx for all the info ... I'm still new to the machine! North N South is the Problem having when I use pinpoint I'm off 2-3 in far as center seems to me the 10 in factory coil is the opposite of the 7×11 DD coil . Don't get. Me wrong I'm digging n finding coins but is a pain ...when I can't center the coin / Relic Thx for the INFO EVERYONE

It's the north n south signal that's not repeatable... but I still dig ...just takes more time ....GREAT MACHINE F70 IS! ONLY HAD IT 3 WEEKS NOW... I'M A NAUTILUS 2B GUY NOT USE TOO THE NEW STUFF LOL....

X the target. You can't pinpoint a DD coil the way you did the concentric ones. Look at the X. The straight lines are the center of the coil from front to back. When you get a signal from left to right. The target is crossing the line from the front of the coil to the back. Turn 90 degrees and see the spot the 2 lines cross.

What Kevin said.

1) Sweep. Pin point to lowest number and scuff out a line with your foot the length of your coil.
2) Turn 90 degrees in that spot and repeat step one.

You should have a good 4"-5" plug in the middle of the intersecting lines where the target is located.

DD is definitely a different animal from concentric. But, once you get the hang of it you might not ever go back. I haven't.

Best of luck.
A fellow f70 junkie.
