Guys my brother MarkCZ sent me this information, I don't know where he got it but I thought you guys may get something out of it, I know I did.

F75 going crazy ? Read this :

The number one problem seems to be that the F75 can go crazy and beeps constantly and the VDI numbers jump all over the place.

Well, don't ask me to find it again:shrug: Some how I was searching something on the Internet and not F75 stuff either, but floating along in cyber space just beyond the milkyway was "F75 Tips" I don't have an F75 but I knew my brother did. So the more I read I thought it interesting enough to pass it along.

back to the notch issue, if a number is scored out, full line through it, is it not notched out no matter what? Ive heard this discussion elsewhere I believe. Why dont they color code them, if its green its in, if its red it out, or if it leans to the left its in and if it leans to the right its out or something like that? CO.

Pretty sure it doesn't work like that. It is my understanding it is all about where the disc is set, if you are running a low disc and set a notch above the disc, it is notched out. If you are running a high disc and you set a notch lower than the disc it is notched in.

Just one example:
Say you wanted to just hunt coins and you set your disc just above zinc pennies, now all you would get is coins like copper pennies, dimes and on up and of course some trash that looks like coins to the detector. Now you would like to include nickels, so you set a notch at nickels and they are now notched in.

Seems I wasn't the first to get that information to the forum! but I really didn't get it from this forum or Shooters post! There was a F75 Q&A and tips that I found on the internet that had a HUGE page of other stuff and in that I found the F75 information that got posted above, I just copied & pasted that little bit above and sent it to my brother. When I get some more time I'll see if I can find the site I got the information from, Shooter may have it in his favorites somewhere, it looks to be the same one I ran across.
