F75 going crazy

Love this machine. Best machine that I have had in years and so easy to use. One problem, after about 5 or 6 hours of use it has went nuts. Numbers jumping all around with no movement. When you move it, it really goes crazy. Also tapping lightly with your finger is not good. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Sure hope the repair dept. is fast.

Please Read FAQ Nr. 6 and 8 here : http://www.fisherf75.com/pb/wp_296253e2/wp_296253e2.html?0.449881727895314

Make sure you have your cellphone turned off too. (not standby)

Start with a factory reset (turn off, hold red button and simultaneously push trigger forward during power-up).

Should be stable. After that, watch what settings/changes make it erratic. A few things to watch out for:

- disc below 5 or above 19 adds a pre-amp stage that makes f&% *very* sensitive
- Je mode has pre-amp in all settings I think

As an example, I can be running stable with Sens at 85, but if I turn disc above 19, I have to drop Sens to 40 or so.

Have fun,
Wally

I took everything back to the default and still had the same problem. Thought it was something wierd at the location so moved about 30 miles up the road to another spot and the same problem. I can tap on the control box and it goes wild. any taping or movement is a bad thing. I am sending it in for repair but I still love this little guy. I haven't like a machine this much since I bought my first Teknetics 9000B, gosh I'm old

Yep it's tight. I hope repair time is quick, this thing is really a neat machine to play with. I cant's believe how good it is at finding coins buried under pulltabs. They really did a great job developing this. Thanks for the help
