F75 LTD and EMI

Just wondering if its a problem. I cant use my GBSE at a location even on very low settings and had to break out backup which has settings for that. I thinking of going up. Thanks

The F75 LTD seems to run more stable for me in the BP process. I can't say if silent interference is causing problems though.

For best solution:
Put in BP mode and switch to all metal.
Set sensitivity to 99.
Hold coil 12" and parallel to the ground.
Change to each frequency until you find one that is the smoothest.
Now switch back to discrimination mode.
Set discrimination to 6 and start with sensitivity at 75.
Still holding the coil in the air.
Do you have EMI falsing with the coil still and in the air?
If not you're good to go.
Now if you start swing the coil and you get falsing then lower sensitivity a little at a time.

I've found in my test garden that
BP, sensitiviy 45, disc 6 is about equal to DE, sensitivity 85, disc 6.

Thats very interesting, markg.I hear guys say they run there LTD in bp mode, sens 90 or more and it is stable. In my soil and the areas I hunt[alot of trash] I cant seem to calm mine down in bp mode without sacrificing alot of sens.,so i run mostly in de process.I get good depth, and am happy with my finds.......hh rick in mi.

In emi plagued spots my LTD also runs a bit smoother in the bp mode. mark nailed it very well on what to do when severe emi is a problem. My ground right around here is fairly mild, gb usually in the mid 60's, depending on the coil size I'm using. Unless I know I may need every possible inch of depth, for coin shooting any more, I've been running in the de mode. Coin hits just seem to id a bit better and are a less bouncy. And I know from my now gone old regular F 75 that I will still get great depth. Clad2Hunt, you may have a very bad emi spot and it could well be that the LTD won't perform much better. I have only run into one spot that will almost shut my LTD down, but it can happen. Good luck. HH jim tn
