I have tried many setting but lately I'm enjoing BP....Disc 0-4.....Sens 75-99......2F tone........And then .....If I want calmer......Disc 04......Sens 28 .....Tone could be any of them.......HH.......God Bless......Dan
PS .....Sometimes I will switch over to CL just to see and hear for comparisons.I don't have many relics around here but I got an old fired 3 ringer, 2F tone and it was sounding off big time....Thanks for sharing.

BP Disc at 26..lots of iron, and pulltab pieces here. Still get nickles I use 3H tones. Sens as high as ground allows. I do GB often..

If in a normal park, not real old in other words my De mode goes plenty deep. I see you use 28 sense..amasing just how deep the LTD will go with lower sense isn't??.

Yes it is amazing at one place Iwas running sens...4.....yes 4... in BP because of bad interferances,I got coins at 3-5 inches .....I've been saying this for 2-3 months now it ran quiet and I got a 1941 silver quarter and a 1935 buff. nickle
others should have gotten years ago......but I still crank it up also at times.....I don't recommend those single digits sens but you can if you got too....hh

Depends on what I'm hunting. For coin shooting I use BP mode, zero disc if it's not too noisy, if it is, seven disc, 3 tones (less noise to mentally process) and sensitivity as high as I can get it....99 many times. For jewelery hunting the same settings except I switch to 2F tones, it'll hit chains that none of the other tone options can (aside from possibly 1 tone, haven't tried that combo).

Next time I'm at an EMI laden site I'm going to try using a sensitivity of 29 or less for the low gain mode, although I tend to use my CZ70 at EMI sites as it's bullet proof with EMI

My settings are pretty much the same as Brian's. Both, with and without emi situations. I don't like the 29 and under sen. setting, but when emi becomes a problem, which is seldom on my hunting sites, I'll go to it if necessary. I find there to be a pretty good amount of depth loss in the low gain mode. But, it at least does afford one the chance to hunt such spots, anyway. HH jim tn

I to have been useing approximately the same settings as Brian----I've been useing mostly BP mode---6 or 7 disc.---3 tones,---sens. as high as I can get it without the machine getting too "ratty", sometimes I run sens. at 60 but usually never go lower than 35.----Also, if BP gets to be "too much" for me, I'll switch to DE.-----I think when I get more experience with this machine, I may be able to "handle" a little higher settings.---Also (at least for me), settings are "site dependant"--I've got to have it "toned down" enough to be able to discern the hits from the noise.---I'm sure that you more experienced guys with the 75 can "work into the noise" much better than I can!----My wife & I were at an old town site here a few days ago and were running with the above settings except we ran in 2F tones (sens. 60), boy was that effective (and fun) at that place, we really found the old coins. ---------Del

When I hit too much EMI I grab the 8000 I have found for the ltd If the emi is too much even at a lower sens I have a hard time GB and I know I am missing targets. Yesterday I hunted in a great old area. Coil 5DD, Disc on 4, sens on 80. 2F tones and the machine was spot on. When you run the machine too hot you miss some of the deep targets with all the chatter covering up the good targets. I would only hunt with O disc if the area was really clean. When hunting old sights it is rare if I can ever use 0 disc and still hear the good targets being filtered by the chatter.

In lots of iron I go as high on my sens as 7 becasue you want to hear the hits that are mixed in the iron and I like overloads because that turns out to be axes and cool stuff like that.

I will push my small coil to 0-4 on my disc if I can deal with not too much chatter I don't mind a bit of the chatter because that is how you get the most from the LTD but if it gets too crazy I will hunt always with a disc of 6 I don't want to miss the deep masked targets and so I like 2F and I dn't really care what the VDI # number when relic hunting I have to dig all good tones and most OK tones all overload tones and some one way hits. I think and again I say I think there is so much masking going on that you have to just deal with trying to out smart the iron.

I'm now running in AM mode BP....its doing a good job also...... gonna try the CL mode some along and along to see how it does......hh..........Dan
