F75 LTD... when will the F80 be released?

Ross Brown

New member
Hi Guys,
I'm about to pull the trigger on a F75 LTD and see they have been around about 2 years. How often does Fisher change their models? Is it likely an F80 will be released sometime soon?

No news of any new models. F-75 LTD is a one deep machine. Holler at me if you have any questions or need great pricing! Thanks, Bart

Bart will hook you up with some good pricing and he ships fast. I bought my E-Trac from him a few weeks ago....he has great customer service and even takes calls to help you out with your new machine.

Thanks Guys, Bart I will be in contact in due course. The reason for my question was to get a rough idea how long Fisher normally run a particular model, I realise manufacturers often don't release new models unless they have ground breaking technology and wish to beat the competitors to market or until they start getting left behind as the competitors introduce new features. If a model has been out a couple of years as in the case of the F75 LTD I guess the question in every perspective purchasers mind is "if I buy now will a newer version be released next month"
Cheers Ross

That is my personal favorite after 40+ years of testing detectors.

No need for new technology, just need to dual freq the F75 and call it whatever they want to.

To make it clear, do you mean the F75 Ltd is your personal favorite.?

Then if so, even over your AT Gold & Pro.?

(Because I am tore between getting either a AT Gold or T2/F75 Ltd.)

Thank you.

I myself would rather swing a standard F75 than a AT Pro. And I won't be torn between one or the other. Unless you do a lot of detecting in the water the choce is clear to me. I'd swing a F75 Ltd anyday before I'd swing an AT Pro. There better, deeper, and simply the best out there today. Of course a E-Trac or V3i is a great pick as well. IMHO,

I had the AT Pro since it first came out last Dec, had 100's of hours on it...very nice machine and in it's price range you can't beat it...I just traded it for a F75LTD (SE) and don't regret it one little bit...F75 is deeper, has a true all metal mode ( which the pro doesn't but I believe the gold does ), and even though I don't have the machine quite figured out yet , I believe the boost and cache modes are going to be very useful! And it's not even in the same ball park on the ergonomics...the pro was heavier to swing whereas with my limited experience with it so far the F75 I think I can swing all day long without getting tired...I went to a site this past weekend to play around with the F75, and this is a site I have pounded to death with the pro this past summer with the last time being there didn't find any new targets, and found several new targets including a 1920 wheat, I know a lot of things come into play such as ground condition, you don't really cover everything etc...,but I also know I was at the same site and same area just the week before with the pro before I traded it and didn't register a single target. Anyways just my opinion from a ex atproer....

I certainly agree with you woodstock The At pro is not in the same league with the F75, 75LTD, or the SE models. Let alone the T2 models.
ergonomics alone would be enough reason for using 75/T2. Add the extra depth with the First Texas models, this makes for hands down better detecting experience.

There is a price difference...... sure... but a price difference well worth it.

I have both and the garrett never gets used

That's right DEMOLITION and some even try to compare the AT Pro to the F70 and I'd rather swing the F70 and I've found the F70 to be deeper. Not by much, but still deeper. And they are in the same price range. I had a AT Pro and I have to admit it did change my mind about Garrett cause it does the job very well. At the time I thought I'd get out and do some water detecting and I did, but not enough to keep it. I think it's a bit heavy to swing all day or even a few hours. On the other hand I've had a AT Pro and all of the above from Omega ,F70 / T2 / F75 and the F75 LTD and I'd prefer any of those to the AT Pro. Don't get me wrong, the AT Pro is a great machine, just to heavy. IMHO, Woodstock
