F75 notch/disc...this is crazy!

Ok so the other day I was doing some air testing on different targets. When I got to iron and gold items I couldn't see either of them.

The disc/notch is likely my problem. I just am not sure how to fix it.

Let me start by saying that I usually hunt in all metal mode with sensitivity as high as I can run it and tones in delta pitch. I enjoy running it wide open like that , as I want to see what's in the ground. It was overwhelming at first but now I wouldn't have it any other way.

The only reason I am asking about running in disc mode is I am teaching a friend to use this unit and want them to be able to still detect gold jewelry and be able to disc iron. I will set it up in 1 or 2 tones and run in DE mode, and show him how to adjust sensitivity based on stability.

Can anyone fill me in on where I need to set it up to be able to do this?

Thanks

Just do a factory reset, with the machine off push the toggle forward and hold, push the red button in and hold then turn the machine on while holding the switch and button. Once it powers up release the button and switch and you will be back to factory settings.

Anytime you get lost just do the above to get back to square one.

This is truly one of my favorite detectors just a few little tricks to learn yet. I'm looking to pick me up a FX-1 Sunray probe for my F75 ....my son has one on his F75 and I really like them. I had one on my V3i a couple years ago and I think they are the way to go as far as pinpointers. Tell your brother Mark hello!
