F75 Setting DISC 0, Notch 7, high gain boost?

Has anybody tried the method of setting DISC 0, Notch 7? It suppose to give high gain boost? Am going to try this today and see if it works. Or could I set DISC to 4 and notch to 8 and get most of the iron out and foil and still get the high gain

I also seen where somebody sets the DISC 0 SEN 30 before they Ground Balance. Anybody do this?

Just run the JE mode, it is in high gain all the time, no matter what the disc is setting on. You can run your disc up to about 14 and get rid of most of your iron. I don't use notch a lot but when I do I set it to take out a trash item that there may be a lot of in the area. Or you run your disc high and use the notch to notch in an item like nickels for me.

Play around with the settings till you find one you like. Remember that All Metal effects the Discrimination side and visa a versa. I like to run disc as foil and hair pins drive me nuts, so I run disc as high as 15. But 4 and below, and 19 and above on disc is high gain also. You can find coins with zero sens, but I like to run 35 on the sens. I usually run JE mode, but Boost or DE mode works great. @ tone is supposed to be deep, but the F75 is deep anyway. I have found All Metal mode really fun. Since my upgrade to LTD2 I have found stock coil to be the best coil for the detector. I run DST due to my soil and emi here. Ron gave you a real good hint to disc it all out and notch nickles back in, I did that the other day on a virgin hunt and cleaned up. If all else fails, do a factory reset, drop your sens and bring it up slowley till you get a good feel for the detector. Good Luck.
