F75ltd 5in coil cover stuck

Is there a trick to removing the cover I'm afraid to use too much pressure first time I used it in moist grass was tue. today cover won't come off. Thank you. HH. C t

I have had success by putting the very edge of my shoes on two opposing areas of the covers outer edge with the coil and cover on a solid flat surface, so as not to bend/break the coil. Then pull somewhat gently straight up on the lower shaft stem. It also helps to simultaneously push down near the center of the coil on the edge of the cover. A thumb nail works for me.

I've also heard if you have access to a good air compressor you can apply compressed air around the edge of the cover while the cover and coil are off the ground and the cover will pop off.

Great! Compressor worked not much pressure needed the coil cover came right off. USE EYE protection as I have learned in the past rang true here goggles. Fine sediment and a bit of sand was holding the cover in place a little shot of air and off it came I hardly use this little coil but I had a trashy area to search and a small silver ring with red stone was the prize.!!!!! Depth is amazing with this little coil and seperation fantastic. Thank you knrfj. For the tip. HH. To all. C t
