I was trying to come up with a better way to get rid of steel bottle caps and not take out any other good items.
I hunt most of the time in the Bp (boost process) so that is where I stayed for testing. I started off trying to set a notch that would take out the bottle caps but that wasn

Would like to add to this my experience with 75 on the rusty caps and aluminum ones.

I run my 75 in 3 tone, De process, Disc @ 4 to 20, 0 notched with sens @ usually 87 or higher if location will allow.

Ok so the rusty caps like to come in a few numbers higher then on average I see or expect a quarter to show up as. Quarters are 80-81-82-83 on my machine. Now not withstanding I will dig a 85-86-87 because that is where my 1905 'S' barber half came in at, the real give away for the rust caps is not only the number but watch your ferrous meter while swinging. It will usually spike.

The aluminum ones are in the mid 50s to mid 60s, 59-60-61 are almost always zinc pennies for me. Occasionally a 56-57-58 will be the crusty zinc's.

Location will always play its role in how I interpret the signals and numbers.

Hope this intel along with the original posters techniques help out.
