I didn't even realize that I ordered it one year ago today 10-23-09........How many others here have the camo version.......hh......
Dan
PS When I do the default reset .....It says7.6......LE

Ditto on cameo.... A finer machine in it's high end class is hard to find.

I have the camo and mine says LE as well. Mine has been resting a good bit since I got the Omega and learning it and putting it through the paces. I used the LTD this morning on one old school yard and also on a wood chips tot lot. My second target this morning on the old school yard was a no date, crusty, Buffalo nickel. Out of 41 coin targets dug this morning, 11 were nickels. I had almost forgotten how good the F detectors are for finding and id'ing nickels. None were all that deep, 4" max., but id was spot on. My LTd was a Christmas present, so I am about 10 months with mine. HH jim tn

It is my understanding that 500 of these were manufactured..... I wonder if there is a way of finding out which one we have.....001-500...that would be interesting......have fun and good luck hunting

I have the Camo LTD and looked back and bought mine 10-12-09. I have bought and sold many detectors but I will never part with the LTD. Mine says LE when I turn it on.

Same here,I have the camo, and on factory reset it shows my freq.then LE,also LE on start up,wouldnt trade it for nothing!!!!:super:

Haven't had my F75 LTD camo very long and used it for the first time yesterday at a school yard.
DE mode and sensitivity at around 60.
Good signals were crisp and solid sounding ... easy to hear above the ground chatter.
The F75 LTD is so fast that I never needed to switch to all metal for pin pointing.

Lot's to learn about it as it is very different to the Explorer II I am used to hunting coins with.
Learning the adjustments and which mode to use for max performance might take some time.

I would rate it above the Minelab 705 in performance but need to use it a lot more before deciding how it stacks up against the Explorer II.
So far I like it and will most likely keep it around for a while.

I also have the camo unit. It is a keeper.......

Once learned with trying the different modes and using them for the type of hunting being done and adjusting sen. and disc. as needed, it is a tough machine to beat. It has great depth and really excels in a trashy environment. Coin targets at depth tend to be jumpy, so listen carefully and check them out. It is an outstanding nickel machine and if one is finding nickels, gold will come to light, as well.HH jim tn

Count me in, love my F-75 camo Ltd. Sounds funny but I wish I could turn of my lighted screen for night hunting...it spoils my night vision. A red led would have been a better choice as the infra red spectrum of light doesn't spoil our night vision. It's a military fact. :usmc:

Mine is a camo too! When I read they were doing camo and limiting the numbers I had to have one. It is a detector that you can learn something about every time out. I have hunted a lot this year, probably more hours than ever before. I hunted as fast as I could walk yesterday, ahead of the rain, and only slowed down when the LTD hit high. Slowing and running back over the spot, I dug six Indian heads in a field that I had hunted at least four or five times.
The fast pace let me cover more ground and I discovered a spot quite aways from the old house spot that gave up the coins. The light weight and ease of swinging let me wander all over that field till I hit the coins. My favorite detector for most things, my camo LTD.

Try going to some place where they install window tinting. They always have scrap corners and pieces from any install. I have not tried it but it may work if you get a dark tint... just be sure that it will come off if you want to remove it. I bet you could send it to FTP and they could unplug the LED lead. I think there a lot of them but I bet they wre powered by one connection.

Had an extra envir. cover so I sewed a piece of window tint on the "inside of the cover" and left the factory clear screen where it is so it would protect the tinted piece. When I hunt at night you have a nice tinted screen not the bright lighted screen, you could also make a tinted boot to slide over the housing.

shooter, thats a great idea! Thanks! :clapping: All I need is a piece of red cellophane tucked under the eviro-cover screen. Why didn't I think of it!?
