F75Ltd manual typo or what

WV62

Well-known member
From time to time I like to get my F75Ltd manual and read and re-read, sometimes I will pickup on something that I over looked. So I was reading and on page 31 I thought at first just a typo then they repeated again at the bottom of the page.

So I copied and pasted, thinking somebody out there may have notice the same thing and figured out what they are talking about.

2. SEARCH WITH THE dP PROCESS. This method calculates visual ID differently in
order to cause steel bottle caps to ID lower on the scale and to register less
consistently. It also produces more audio clues to the character of the target.

5. USE THE CONFIDENCE INDICATOR
Coins will usually produce a high
confidence level, whereas steel bottle caps
and other trash will usually indicate a low or
erratic confidence, even if the ID numbers
are consistently in the range of a coin.
Confidence level is useful even if not
using the dP or 3b processes.

My guess it's a typo..good catch.

After re-reading and thinking about it, since the tone options don't affect the confidence meter ( at least I don't think it does), and the meter is more related to what process is running, and since the number 3 is right above the letter E on the keyboard, maybe the 3b was supposed to be dE mode. Since the bP mode is an enhanced version of the dE mode ( per the manual), maybe it should have read dE instead of 3b.

Shot in the dark.

I think they were giving directions for using bc #1...was saying what the mode is.......#2 with the error (dp) shows how to use the mode and look for the consistency reading....... #3 Shows how to alter swing and height to get better readings.............#4 tells you how to use back of coil in bc mode.....and different sweep speeds for proper reading..
