F75LTD or T2SE....which one??

I'm going to post the same question on the teknetics forum to get a balanced response. I hope to reaise the funds to buy a new detector this winter. I've always wanted to try an F75 or T2 so have been reading the forums and field tests like crazy. I mainly hunt old yards, schools, parks and abandoned sites on old farms and ranches here in Nebraska. I also like to take my detector with me on vacation "just in case".
So, which one to buy??? Not really and apples vs oranges decision, more like a granny smith vs a red delicious one as the detectors are similar in a lot of ways.
My favorite finds are old coins, old tokens, jewelry. I don't think I can go wrong so I guess I'm just trying to support spending the extra dollars for an F75. Thanks in advance and HH. Bob.

The thing that I like about my LTD is are the additional tones. (If I'm remembering correctly about the T 2 SE) The LTD has up to 4, which is a real plus for old coin hunting and also, nickels come in with a high tone when using the 3h and 4h tone mode. Again, if I am remembering correctly about the T 2. Depth is close, but the edge would go to the F 75. HH jim tn

jim is correct the t2se in boost mode has no tone options it runs in 2 tones, in non boost it has alot of tone options on the f75ltd does have more tone options in boost mode and would be a little better suited for coin hunting the t2 is more of a relic and all around machine. also more coils availible for the f75ltd and has a backlit display and costs a few hundred more, i was in the same position as you a year ago and went with t2se because it was cheaper and overall im am happy with its very good on gold rings but here on the west coast not real good on depth on coins around 7 to 8 inches max i hear it does much better in less minerilized soil in the mid and eastern part of the country, good luck on whatever way you decide to go hh

Also, you have to consider the layout of the screen information. I was leaning toward an F-75 LTD/SE until I saw one in person vs a T2. Now, I'm saving for a T2. I just liked the layout a little better.

also think f70 its cheeper but great preformance :detecting:
f75 little brother

high on my wants list. Getting athritis in my hands from chiseling heads at a packing plant back in the 70's. Getting old sucks!! Bob.

I have had both machines an settled on the F75 because:

Back light
Keeps memory when turned off
Notching is cool but I do not use it
Number of tones

Miss the T2 because:

The 40 points of iron disc
Overall numerical number system (same as the Greek series; disc starting at 40 on the T2 instead of 15 on the F75)

I could not tell all that much of depth difference but if I could not have the F75, I would have the T2. Don't let the older standard 'non boost" units fool you. They are deep too. The T2 must be something. It is one of the number 1 machines used in Europe because of all of the iron over there...
